Window drive combines functionality and aesthetics
German Design Award Winner 2025
VEKA AG and its smart home brand TEXINO, along with Gröninger Antriebstechnik, have been honored with the prestigious German Design Award 2025. Their joint window drive DK-100 impressed the international expert jury in the category Building & Elements with its innovative combination of functionality and aesthetics.
The jury particularly praised the DK-100's ability to seamlessly integrate smart functions into existing systems while preserving architectural freedom. "The combination of enhanced security and the possibility of invisible installation offers a forward-looking solution for modern living," the jury stated.
The DK-100 is invisibly installed in the window frame, allowing the window to be operated as usual by the handle. TEXINO's intelligent control system detects when a window is manually opened and can automatically tilt other windows. Conversely, when a window is manually closed, the others close as well. This creates an intuitive, comfortable ventilation solution without the need to set times or tap on a smartphone.
The German Design Award is one of the most respected design awards worldwide and highlights the innovative strength of VEKA, TEXINO, and Gröninger Antriebstechnik in the field of smart home and building technology.
